Palm Associates is a development research and data management firm with a strong bias towards intervention Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), as well as retrospective and longitudinal impact evaluations. Currently with offices in Zambia (HQ) and Zimbabwe.

Palm has built a long track record of managing development research projects and conducting panel surveys as part of intervention impact evaluations and has developed the technical capacity to build and use state-of-the-art econometric, simulation and optimization models to respond to development challenges. Quality Resourcing

The firm also has a database of experts in various fields, most of whom are fluent in all the officially recognized regional languages spoken in Zambia and several other African countries. These further enhance Palm’s ability to effectively undertake projects of varying sizes and fields.

Palm Associates is very experienced in designing and implementing data entry and data management systems for paper-based data collection assignments as well as in designing and implementing Digital Data Gathering (DDG) assignments.

Survey Hostory

During the past 10 years, the firm has undertaken most of its survey-based research assignments using Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI) and Computer Assisted Telephonic Interviews (CATI). Through effective design and implementation of such tablet-based, server-supported data capturing systems, we can monitor the quality of data and provide feedback to field staff in real time. During the past two years, Palm Associates has been undertaking Zambia Gallup Polls using CATI on behalf of Gallup World Polls.
